“Being a Woman in Turkey in 2020″
We are pleased to announce that First International Mediterranean Conference on Women’s Studies, organized by Akdeniz University Department of Gender and Women’s Studies in collaboration with Akdeniz University Center for Gender and Women’s Studies, is to take place in Antalya 09-11 April 2020.
We invite proposals for presentations from disciplines under social sciences such as sociology, psychology, anthropology, communication, history, economics, business administration, law, education, nursery, and politics in particular with a specific focus on empirical studies from women’s studies perspective. The intention of the congress is to contribute to developing dialogues among researchers from various disciplines, discussing and popularizing contemporary topics and establishing policies on women’s problems. We are honored to welcome and host you in Antalya.

Abstracts written in Turkish or English should consist of at least 400 words and they should be submitted to the congress secretariat (firstname.lastname@example.org) by 26 JANUARY 2020, taking into account the rules of abstract guideline. Authors whose abstracts have been accepted to the congress are required to fill in the registration form and register for the congress until 16 MARCH 2020 and deposit the registration fee.
Semantic and spelling mistakes are under the responsibility of the authors as there will not be any corrections made by the Congress Organizing Committee. Abstracts should be prepared in accordance with the rules stated in the abstract guideline: The abstracts should be written in Turkish or English using at least 400 words. Abstracts should include the aim, scope and importance of the study, originality, theoretical basis of the study, methods used in the research, data collection techniques, findings, conclusions and recommendations. At least 3 or 5 keywords should be included. Manuscripts should be written using MS Word 2007 or with a newer version word processing program. They should be typed in single-spaced, with Times New Roman 10 font, using A4 page structure. The name of the institution should be written as a footnote at the bottom of the first page. If there is more than one author, of the name of the institution, or if they are from the same institution but from different departments, also the name of the department should be given as footnotes numbered in respect to the surnames of the authors. If the institution is a university, the names of the university, faculty and department should be indicated. Name SURNAME of the author (s) should be written in 10 point size bold and centered. The name of the author who does the presentation should be underlined and no academic titles should be used within the names. Applicants may apply with a maximum of two studies as the first author.
